Noble Energy, Inc. Environmental Coordinator in Greeley, Colorado

The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and review of environmental matters during construction and planning of upstream and midstream operations. This person will fill the role of a subject matter expert on wildlife and waters-of-the-US (WOTUS) topics and ensure field-based compliance with Company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for planning and implementing the wildlife and WOTUS clearance and monitoring programs.

  • Involved in setting and maintaining environmental requirements in the E&P and midstream lifecycles.

  • Directs contractors and consultants on specifics tasks.

  • Leads environmental planning efforts and interfaces with team members concerning future development plans and their environmental impact.

  • Coordinates with partners on environmental consequences and liability of jointly owned operations.

  • Performs data management and recordkeeping for environmental programs.

  • Prepares permit applications, registrations, and regulatory submittals in support of operations.

  • Communicates with state and federal regulatory agencies as a company representative.

  • Assists with developing and delivering training to Noble Energy contractors and personnel.

  • Contributes to the budgeting process for projects entailing environmental work.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology Studies, Environmental Studies or related Environmental Sciences discipline.

  • 6+ years of environmental experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

  • OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) + 8 years of additional equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of wildlife/WOTUS experience required.

  • Wildlife Biologist Certification preferred.

  • Working knowledge of the Colorado State Historic Preservation Office/National Historic Preservation Program process for the identification of historic properties during development activities.

  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google Earth.

  • Effective oral and written communication.
