Noble Energy, Inc. Senior Automation Foreman in Greeley, Colorado

Responsible for the design, implementation, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of all automation platforms for the Business Unit. Accountable for the safety of employees, contractors, Noble resources and the environment in their area.

  • Provides leadership to department and other automation and I&E personnel associated with automation & control activities.

  • Provides feedback to management on training and development needs, systems applications, and new technologies.

  • Assist with daily planning and coordination with team and external service and equipment providers.

  • Coach, mentor, and train other automation and I&E personnel.

  • Responsible of teaching, implementing, and setting the example for safe work practices and Company safety policies.

  • Responsible for the oversight and integrity of all automation systems for the business unit.

  • Continuous development of comprehensive automation systems for business unit

  • Responsible for trouble-shooting all automation concerns and notification of management as necessary.

  • Develops future goals and proposes plans for automation efficiencies and enhancements.

  • Manages operational costs and capital expenditures to meet budget expectations

  • Works closely with management and other departments to optimize project costs.

  • Interact with Operation’s teams to ensure needs are met in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent – Minimum

  • Typically requires 8 years of oil field experience

  • Solid understanding of Midstream business models, including: LACT design, operation and maintenance; custody metering and allocation principals; DOT, PHMSA and PSM regulations.

  • Five years oil field / control systems experience required

  • State of Colorado Electrical Journeyman’s license. Master’s preferred, but not required.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Proficient in ALL of the following:

  • Automation software/hardware

  • Communications/Networking/Routing/Security

  • Communication infrastructure including radio maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Allen-Bradley PLC & HMI programming and system design.

  • Fisher ROC and ABB TotalFlow communication configuration.

  • Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Cutler-Hammer VFD configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Modbus RTU and TCP

  • Process Safety and Design
