Noble Energy, Inc. Senior Facility Operator in Greeley, Colorado
The Sr. Facility Operator is responsible for coordinating the daily operations and long term projects for all the facilities to ensure proper and optimum operation of all associated equipment and systems. Accountable for the safety of employees, contractors, Noble resources and the environment in their area.
Coordinates the monitoring, operation, and maintenance of a facility including natural gas compressors, amine regeneration, natural gas dehydration (glycol) system, metering, tanks, and separators.
Optimizes plant capacity in safe and efficient ways.
Assists in development of SAFE Matrix for plant alarms and responses.
Primary on-site person for coordinating PSM effort.
Assists in development of emergency response plans and drills for facilities.
May relieve Plant Foreman
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and directs necessary repairs, modifications and calibrations of equipment used in production operations of entire gas gathering system.
Shares technical expertise by serving as a mentor to other facility personnel.
Prepares necessary paperwork including procedures, maintenance reports, safety reports, leak reports, equipment reports, etc. and distribute to supervisor and organization.
Performs PLC programming and troubleshooting if qualified.
Maintains safety procedures regarding facilities.
Troubleshoots equipment and facility problems. Perform minor repairs and servicing and notify Facility Foreman if necessary.
Reports volumes and key facility operating parameters to Supervision.
Responds to plant alarm call-outs on off shift hours.
Reviews all invoices associated with facility and submits to supervisor for approval.
Provides direction and technical advice to company and contract personnel on daily operations activities and maintenance activities.
Performs plant start-up and shut-down operations.
Performs gas tests as needed.
Monitors facility for major problems and shuts down if necessary.
Coordinates operations with gas and liquid purchasers.
Participates with all Contract, third party, and Noble personnel to promote safety.
Performs compressor and other mechanical repairs as needed.
Supervises and train roustabouts and relief personnel as required.
May serve as company representative during regulatory agency inspections.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
2-Year Associates degree in Process Technology preferred.
Typically requires eight years of experience in oil and gas operations and five years of experience working with and in natural gas processing plants.
Department of Transportation operator training a plus.
