The Global Mobility Advisor role is responsible for the management of the company’s global mobility program, ensuring the program fully supports the company’s business needs. The global mobility function includes international and domestic assignments, one-way domestic and international relocations and immigration. The person in this hands-on role will partner closely with HRBP’s, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Legal, Payroll, Tax, Business Leaders and other external service providers to ensure a seamless mobility experience for our people. The role is responsible for ensuring a high level of service with a key focus on employee experience and efficient mobility programs. Additionally, this person is responsible for program compliance and supplier partner management.

  • Develop, recommend and implement Global Mobility strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall corporate and business strategy.

  • Engage in collaborative partnership with corporate and regional HR management to ensure operational consistency, as well as consistency in Global mobility processes, strategic approaches, and policy formation across the Human Resources function.

  • Interpret business needs in the region and influence program structure, policies and design to ensure mobility program meets those needs.

  • Responsible for domestic mobility, expatriate and rotator assignment lifecycle including activities such as 1:1 consultation, pre-assignment activities, physical move, and repatriation processes.

  • Develops a comprehensive approach to creating a positive experience for employees and their families for the full life cycle of the international assignment.

  • Responsible for coordinating with global payroll team members on tax equalization program and other assignment related activities.

  • Act as a project manager for a cross-functional team consisting of HR, Legal and client groups by developing new country entry assessment and action plans including outlook on: Talent availability, employment practices, and immigration requirements.

  • Manages company-wide immigration and visa processing by liaising with the employee, business leaders, HR Business Partner, and immigration counsel.

  • Create and maintain shared tools and resources for the international HR operations, including project plans, checklists, knowledge databases, and standard operating procedures.

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with a complex and high performing set of suppliers/vendors to ensure a smooth experience for our employees including contract negotiation, evaluation of customer feedback, vendor audit and performance review. Vendor services may include tax preparation services, immigration services, relocation, home sale/purchase, household goods move, corporate housing, cultural awareness training.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in Global Mobility i.e., relocation, immigration and/or mobility tax

  • Knowledge of global mobility lifecycle processes and methodologies

  • Experience operating in a collaborative environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to think through end-to-end solutions to improve the processes and plan around systematic blind spots through the mobility lifecycle

  • Ability to handle complex, ambiguous situations exercising judgement and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work effectively with data, analyze and present insights, develop and deliver presentations

  • Prior HR generalist experience is a plus
