Responsible for technical and financial evaluation of company programs, plans and strategies. Supports analysis of industry and market activities which may influence the company’s ability to execute on plans and strategies.

Detailed Description

  • Management of Permian Business Unit inventory and economic database

  • Estimates projects economics and performs economic sensitivities utilizing economic modeling software

  • Responsible for reserve forecasting for mid-year and year-end reserves—inclusive of calculating commercial assumptions based upon historical data (LOE, Differentials, TT&F;)

  • Utilizes software to discover trends in operational data

  • Reserve Booking packages

  • AFE packet creation and economics

  • Forecasting to support near-term and long-term planning

  • Non-op Forecasting for financial accruals

  • Evaluations for acreage trades and divestitures

  • Variance and anomaly detection and subsequent troubleshooting

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5years related work experience

  • Strong ability to use logic, critical thinking skills, and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions

  • Advanced ability to build numerical and analytical tools using corporate software

  • Expert ARIES user or similar oil and gas reserve management software

  • Knowledge and experience in SQL, specifically querying data for export and analysis

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Experience preparing and presenting presentations

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
