Noble Energy, Inc. Surface Landman II in Pecos, Texas
Responsible for acquisition, development, maintenance and divestiture of company’s position regarding land (mineral, leasehold and surface).
All duties of Landman I, and:
Initiates deals, contracts, agreements, and performs underlying tasks, and procedures.
Assist in-house Surface Land Team negotiate Surface Use Agreements, Rights-of-Way, Utility Easements, Ditch Crossings, and other miscellaneous Land agreements, as needed
Assists in developing recommendations regarding complex surface land issues.
Supervises lease brokers to acquire rights of way and other contracts.
Establishes, cultivates, and maintains relationships with surface owners, industry partners, competitors and regulatory agencies.
Reviews title to determine surface ownership
Researches, analyzes, briefs and generates various curative land contracts, legal instruments and State/Federal forms required for government regulatory compliance.
Preview/scout surface for new drill operations and ensure that all pre-spud surface related issues have been resolved in timely manner
Host Stake Site Meetings for new well staking’s
Coordinates the execution of development plan and serves as liaison between Operations Team/In-House Land and landowners
Coordinate any survey work associated with operations
Negotiate crop and other surface damages
Gain surface access for all subsequent operations
Serve as company liaison with landowners, local, county, state and federal regulatory agencies; attend city council meetings on behalf of the company
Handle (research and respond) to Surface owners questions/complaints and work with operation team to remedy
Bachelor’s degree in Business, PLM, Energy Management or JD
Typically requires 4 years of related oil and gas experience
Or, 7+ years of oil and gas experience related to the Level Specific Duties above (in lieu of degree)
- Travel to field operations required
